| Dreams of Gold The amaretto cakes were a 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14" rounds with a delicate apricot filling and were enrobed in white chocolate fondant. It was displayed on a beautiful gold plateau. The 14" tier was an illusion of the bodice of the bridal gown. White chocolate fondant was embossed with lace patterns and touched with gold on the edges and shimmered on the lace. The bottom of "gimp lace" was white chocolate painted in gold. The other tiers were decorated with golden scrolls, lattice work, lace, pearls and a medallion. The bride chose a sentimental topper of a bride and groom that had graced her grandparents cakes more than 50 years ago. The cake served 197 reserving the top tier for the first anniversary. It was such a pleasure to work with Julie and her mother, Susanne. Thanks so much!! |
